    Cab Impulse Response Megathread

Hey y'all. Just picked up a Cab M+ the other day... I've been avoiding buying any new gear for years (my G.A.S. is crippling lol), but finally broke down. Really happy with the Two Notes gear so far! I like to keep computer stuff out of my jamming/playing as much as possible, and this...

    Avatar Owners Club Pt. 2

Java5er: I've got a 210/212 Neo stack. 8ohms each. Started with the 210, then went with the 212. I'd recommend going the same route. The flexibility of having two cabs is great! Not to mention they stack nicely and look awesome. As for sound, I do believe a 4x12 is going to have more...

    The game has been changed.

I was about to chime in with some choice comments about this Kitara thing when I realized it's not a bass. Who cares? Doesn't change anything for those of us that like playing real instruments :hiding:

    Doom/Stoner pedals

Probably hard to find one pedal that will meet all your needs. As others have suggested, a combination may be the way to go. I'm currently running a Devi Ever Godzilla -> Megalith -> Bass Big Muff on my board. The Megalith has amazing low end, the godzilla has screaming highs. The BBM is...

PYPB XXXIV - Miracle on 34th Pedalboard, Santa Claus loves fuzz

My current board. Hasn't changed too much in the last few months. I plan on ditching the old Boss Chorus. Haven't decided on something to replace it with yet. Between the Godzilla/Megalith/Muff I can get some pretty hellish noise going on.

    Pedals that are always on?

My Boss LM-2 is always on, last pedal in my chain.

    Noise suppressor/gate

Chiming in with more support for the NS-2. It has both gate and suppression modes, so if you want dead silence when you stop playing, it'll do that.

    Multi-effects pedal with drum loops?

The Boss looper pedals have built in drum loops. Not very adjustable aside from tempo however. Also not quite a multi-effects pedal like you asked about :P

    Plutoneium - Chi Wah Wah

Sweet! Can't wait for the bass version. As soon as you get some ordering information, please pass it along!

    New Toy! Zoom R16!

Just to add some colour to this thread. :) [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] The zoom sitting beside my avatar cabs, well away from the beers and computer. :) No spill zone.

Jealous man! The tolex almost matches the maple neck in that pic! Got the same combo in the burgundy and it smokes. You got a serious deal though! Good on you.

    New Toy! Zoom R16!

I was thinking having a mixer in front of the Zoom would be a good idea. One that had effect/send returns so you could put some effects other than the builtins onto your lines. I haven't even messed with the builtins yet. How are they on this thing? The MicroBR had some pretty tweakable...

    New Toy! Zoom R16!

Thanks for the info Day. I definitely need to grab a couple preamps for the mics and a DI or two for direct signals. Really looking forward to gettin in heavy with this thing!

    New Toy! Zoom R16!

Nice! I've never really gotten into using a PC for recording. I work all day at a computer and don't like to use one at night when I'm fiddling on the bass. What do you guys have plugged into the unit? And do you run the lines through something else first to get a suitable signal? (DI...

    New Toy! Zoom R16!

Hey guys. Picked up a Zoom R16 today after work. I'm upgrading from the Boss Micro-BR. The main reason I went with the Zoom was the capability to record up to 8 tracks at once, and the fact that it has faders. I looked at the other Boss units and none of them seem to offer the ability...
