Doom/Stoner pedals

Probably hard to find one pedal that will meet all your needs. As others have suggested, a combination may be the way to go.

I'm currently running a Devi Ever Godzilla -> Megalith -> Bass Big Muff on my board. The Megalith has amazing low end, the godzilla has screaming highs. The BBM is good for a bit of a milder sounds while still keepin it chunky.

I had a musket for awhile, but found I lost too much low end, and couldn't dial in the sound I was lookin for.

Really want to try an Eau Claire Thunder one of these days!

yeah.. I Did.
I didnt keep my Stache. I like my fuzz in the darker side of tone. I run my Bluebeard with the tone knob dialed purty far back. If you like your Bluebeard with the Tone up at noon or so then the Stache is similar, but I couldnt get my Stache Dark and Doomy enough. I kinda feel for bass that if you dont have enough darkness in a fuzz they can become kinda washed in the mix. That was my take.. The Stache sounds purty kick ass, but didnt meet my needs for tone. Im the odd-man-out on that it seems on TB. If the mid knob on the Stache was voiced more in the LOW mids instead of the mid-mids I woulda really loved it.

I see where you're coming from. I think the Stache is great but I'm beginning to feel that it is not exactly what I need.
Last question, ever tried the Wren&Cuff Pickle Pie B?

Oh I hear you.

I'm pretty keen on picking up a Pickle Pie B. It just seems really, really well-built and I've heard a lot of good things. People say the Phat Phuk B running into the Pickle Pie B is a great combo.

I will here in a week or so. The 'Beard is an amazing pedal. But everyone's enthusiasm for the Grey Stache and the fact that Neurosis' bassist is now using one piqued my interest in it. I doubt it will surplant the 'Beard but hopefully give a good change of pace when called upon.

Into it. I took what I liked about the civil war and ggg-tuned versions (similar in some ways to the BB) and created the GS. If you roll the mids all of the way back and roll the tone back, it gets pretty darn close to the ggg-tuned. I can put them side by side and not know the difference!
I wax and wane of my gs. I'll have it on my board for a month, then take it off. It's a flavor of the week for me!

The GGG-tuned is another one I'd like to eventually try. What's the civil war version?

Eventually I'll end up with one of every fuzz ever made. LOL

Civil War is an era/version of the big muff pi. It's dark, warm, and bassy. So, I combined what i liked from the two versions to make one machine!

Gotta chime in on a recent aquisition that definitely brings the doom. The Black Arts Toneworks Black Forest. Can do slight grit, straight up OD or really gnarly and growly fuzz. It's very dynamic and can be very transparent if you want. Awesome pedal. I know his Pharaoh gets a lot of doom lovin' too....

My other recommendation would be Blackout's Blunderbuss. I've been using it more than either my V1 or V2 Musket.....it's a monster as far as gain and fuzz character. Much tighter in the lows and almost dead silent when you're not playing (depending on settings of course).
