Doom/Stoner pedals

I use a Way Huge Swollen Pickle, Russian BM and Fender Sub-Lime Bass Fuzz for any doom/stoner needs and they work well. Pickle wins though!

Lately I have been partial to an overdrive + fuzz combination and for some reason I get the best results by keeping the selection within the line up of a builder.
Here are two of my current favorites:
- Stomp Under Foot: Bass Drive + Civil War
- Fuzzrocious: Dark Driving + Grey Stasche

Basically a Green Russian Big Muff remake (read: massive modern improvement).
It is Black Sabbath (Master of Reality) in a box. With the Tone knob, you can fizz it out pretty well if you like; and with the blend knob you can accentuate some more punch.
I'm not super into Doom Metal, but whenever I turn that pedal on my fingers slow down and my ripping Speed Metal riffs become dark, moody, and DEVASTATING!
Seriously, it is a very well made pedal, and one I doubt will ever leave my board. Retains all the low frequencies. Sounds best through (and was designed specifically for) an amp, both solid state and tube, but can be dialed in to work well direct into a board.

Something Borderline Offensive
I've been using three different dirt boxes for my band's current recording project which definitely has some stoner tendencies:
a) Fulltone Bass Drive. Still love the mild to moderate overdrive this can give my signal.
b) Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie B. Blend knob for the win.
c) Humphrey Audio modded Metal Zone. Didn't find much use for the pedal until I started running it in parallel with a second amp. Flexible frequency adjustments can allow you to dial in a variety of tones to complement a clean tone nicely.

My guitar player got a Way Huge Swollen Pickle last week, and told me to try it... the thing put out so much low end, it almost vibrated my head right off my cab! It's monstrously huge. Add in the adjustable scoop control (which lets you scoop or boost your mids), and it's surprisingly versatile.
+1 on the Tall Font Russian. It's the darkest more bassy of all the Muffs I have tried. It does not have a lot of gain, particularly compared with the Stomp Under Foot Civil War (which has huge gain and lots of bass too but not quite as much as the Tall Font) but for heavy doomy oppressive bass loaded tones, there not much like it. For more harmonic richness, I would put an overdrive in front of it. The Fuzzrocious Dark Driving might work well.
