I sold my MIJ and still have the CV. Just personal preference, they both are good. I like the CV's radius and truss rod adjustment better. They have different pickups, but both sound good. Depends what you're looking for.

It's usually better if the country you live in has jobs for the people who live there than to not have them. Buying products made in your country is a good way to do that. The quality of the product is a separate issue.

I like 2 plain stacked knobs. If I played out though, I'd use Vol/Blend/Tone though for the reason listed. On the bass to the left, I replaced the pickups and swapped in a blend knob to replace the dodgy switch. That would be the bass I'd use.

I've had lower cost Squire, Gretsch, Ibanez, Cort and Hagstrom short scale basses. I settled on Squire. A major reason for me was the fret board radius.

I love Mustangs, but that price is ridiculous.

Your poll only has two options (one or many), but it could use a third option between those extremes: Bass and amp, and a backup for both. Someone also mentioned a gig amp and a practice amp. That makes sense too. A bass and a backup bass fits nicely between one or many.

Anyone else think we should start a petition to bring these back?
