Thanks 2saddleslab for the response. Have you or anyone else compared recording a DI and then applying plugins in the box versus using a pedal like the SGT DI? Does the Ampeg SGT DI create a better tone than for instance using the Brainworks B15 plugin on a bass DI signal?

Is the tension of the strings noticeable between the Dunlop’s and the low tension La Bella’s?

Sounds like the original buttons and what is advertised on the web site with a picture of the button symbols had very clear stickers on the buttons. Those were the first version. The second version, which we have all been recieving in the last few months, have the newer technology of the symbol...

wow… I wonder why they decided to go from cool looking clear logos in version 1 to the thin barely visable for version 2. I too would very much like to have buttons where the symbol is readable. I’m concerned that my buttons will be unreadable in the very near future.

Your silkscreen logos on your buttons are different than mine. Did you have them custom that? My buttons have a very thin white logo on black buttons… the white logo is supper thin and already looks worn off yet I just got my cat.

It’s weird they didn’t think of this…or maybe it’s an error made by the Indonesian factory. Seems like Carey Nordstrand is very detail oriented… so it’s just kind of odd. Anyhow… it’s pretty minor and so there’s no way I’m touching this bass in the way described above.

I am order #6132 and I got the email today that the cat is on it’s way. It should be at my place on the 17th. I ordered it on Feb 15th… so… approximately 3 months.

Because their website shows they are sold out of certain strings, perhaps they are out of the strings you requested. Which strings did you order?
