i played a 5 string fretless model yesterday. Here is my take on it: Very Very lightweight bass Plays and sounds great At first I thought there was no neck dive but there is a small amount of it. For me this was a big downside as I do not want to deal with any neckdive at all.

Well the coppers and whites sound more like rounds to be more precise. The GHS blacks were so dark they were deader sounding than most flats

My experience is I cannot play any other strings now except for Tapewounds. No finger noise, no grippy factor and low tension makes great for slides and stings and they sound much closer to rounds than flats do.

Does not for the Copper tapes. The black tapes it makes a real bad pick click noise but for some reason it does not on the coppers. I play fingers and pick and both work well on the coppers. The dadario blacks are pretty good too.
