I have the same bass and LOVE IT!!

I bought a Fender Squier P Bass that also has a Jazz pickup. I don't think they call it a PJ though, weirdly. Anyways, I paid $199 for it. I love this bass! It's not too heavy, the pickups sound great, the neck is rosewood which I prefer, and it stays in tune.

One thing I forgot to mention...When I played metal, I used a pick. Fast forward 10 years and I now play with my fingers. That was out of necessity. My right wrist (i think) has carpal tunnel or something so holding a pick became impossible. When I switched to finger style, I also got the 5...

So many cranky players on here!! I played a 4 string tuned to B in a metal band. Spaghetti strings are a pain but I got used to it. I started playing in a cover band that plays lots of pop and alternative, so an active 5 banger was very useful to hit the low D. I typically didn't use the low B...

The two Dave's are back on pain pills recreationally as well as drinking. I know this as I was with a friend who knows a tech on their staff, we hung out with the band in Ohio. Makes sense to not play since he'd have to take a huge dose just to feel it.
