    Thunderbird Club

I’m thinking of wiring up a volume, blend, and tone. My only issue is that I’ve got room for four controls and I don’t know what to do with the fourth spot. I’m turning my bird into a passive setup because I already have a solid active bass and now I want a super solid passive. I’ve read in a...

    Thunderbird Club

I’d be happy to join! I’m not a super active member of TB but I will try to contribute when I can. I can also post other pictures of the Thunderbird too. As an update about my project, I’m looking at getting a set of Seymour Duncan SSB-4s or maybe contacting Bertolini for a set of T4CBCs. Now...

    Thunderbird Club

I might give that a shot. As it currently stands, I get an insane buzz from one of my pickups and when I opened it up before it looks like a mess of spaghetti. The cavity is packed full of stiff wiring and it looks like somebody had already replaced one of the pots so I wanted to clean it all up.

    Thunderbird Club

Hey all! I’ve got a quick question for this vast pool of knowledge. I know it’s probably been discussed already but I’m looking for more concise info since I’ve been researching for days now. I’ve got an Epiphone T-Bird Pro and I’m planning on gutting the electronics and upgrading everything...

Most artistic bass i've seen - wow

I personally love these basses, and I follow the page on Facebook. They are alluminum down the center with wood appendages so it's kind of a hybrid. If I had the money to spend then one of these would be on my list to buy.

    $200 Squier vs. $700 Fender

So, this is my Squier in question (as well as my pedal board and practice amp) and I suppose I don't have many quarrels with it. I have thought about doing upgrades on it in the past such as upgraded tuners and pickups, maybe a nice bridge. As far as the neck goes, it isn't bad. I do like more...

    $200 Squier vs. $700 Fender

I haven’t looked at Peavey so much besides used T40s. I’ve looked into Yamahas a little in the past before I got my Schecter and I was intrigued but I have this underlying feeling that Yamahas weren’t good but from the half-dozen recommendations I feel like I’m wrong lol

    $200 Squier vs. $700 Fender

My Squier is an ‘08 from China. It doesn’t play bad, but I’m looking for something that is more solid and provides a little bit wider of a range. I’d also like for it to be able to handle lower tunings better too. I have other basses so I’m not pressed to get something now, I’m just looking...

    $200 Squier vs. $700 Fender

Hello all! I'm currently looking at getting a new passive bass as an upgrade from my current Squier Affinity P bass. I'm looking at the Fender Player Jaguar because it's got a more unique look to it and I like the flexibility of the P and J pickups. I'm just worried that it won't be much of an...

Poll: would you buy a demo bass from a music store?

If you've never played an instrument similar to it then I wouldn't do it. You wanna make sure you actually like it first before being stuck with it. You could always resell on Reverb but you'd prolly lose some money.
