I was worried the Pro's adjuster was at is max. I had the short end of the allen wrench in there and had to use waterpump pliers to get enough leverage to turn it! But if the small wrenches that came with the CP are Epi-provided, then Epiphone clearly thinks they should adjust easily.

The rods in my three bolt-ons turn similarly to those in my Gibsons, 7enders, Ibby, Peavy and SBMM. Haven’t encountered an issue yet.

I’d be happy to join! I’m not a super active member of TB but I will try to contribute when I can. I can also post other pictures of the Thunderbird too.

As an update about my project, I’m looking at getting a set of Seymour Duncan SSB-4s or maybe contacting Bertolini for a set of T4CBCs. Now I’m trying to figure out a control scheme

The knobs are easy to get either on Reverb, Amazon, etc.... Gibson PRMK-010
(I also add nickel knob pointer washers to all my bass guitars...also on Reverb)
The strap is the "classic #2" from Bear Straps in the UK...Rupert makes them for Noel Gallagher, Joe Walsh, and more

I've bought generic versions of those knobs on those sites, the Gibsons look to be of higher quality, so I'll get some. Are they splined?

A couple things to make sure you know around here. Never, ever use the search function. When there are questions, we get to talk about Thunderbirds. What's not to like about that?

The second thing to know is that we always take PillO very, very seriously. Especially about melon helmets.

Melon helmets are serious business.

I use only the finest tone-melons when playing my Thunderbird; it gives me more note definition in the bottom end and adds to the rich overtones in the mids that allow me to cut through the guitar player's silly headdress.
