THe way I look at it is that the Boomers lose that annoying 'new string' sound sooner than the others and just keep getting better as the months and years go buy. If I wanted that tone and was willing to change my strings a lot to get it like you are I would play steels and call it a day.

I came back to Boomers as well, but mine stay on until they die. That's when they boom. The one change I did make was going from 45-105 to 40-95, otherwise I'll be sticking with the Boomers tyvm.
