A little off topic, but I once stayed in a band because I liked the drummer so much. Once I finally quit I came back 5 months later to do vocals for them but the band finally died soon after.

Yeah I think it is more common than people expect, but still one of those things that will make people remember your band. One of my all time favorite bands has the drummer doing the majority of the vocals(from autumn to ashes) and he is probably my favorite vocalist.

That's a huge problem with punk/metal these days. It seems really hard to get into when everyone is criticizing you for being a "poser" just because you don't like all the underground bands no one is listening to(sorry for derail).
