I use a pick almost exclusively. It's more intuitive to sing playing with a pick and my pizzicato is pretty mediocre anyway. If I need something a bit fuller and smoother, like the ending of this song we recorded, I just play lighter and closer to the neck. Pick and flats all the way:

I use the Joyo American pedal and love it. It keeps some very nice lows and mids when overdriven. I use it more for just a little bit of grit, though. With a DI it sounds very organic.

I would love to have one because rola means male organ in Portuguese and it would be hilarious.

Even a few overdrive or preamp work really well. I've been getting pretty good results with a Joyo American preamp.

This band ended up going nowhere because of schedule conflicts, but I loved being part of it. Generally I worked with faster, funkier side of stoner ruffs like Clutch, but one day I started messing with a delay and a rat and this song happened. I still love it.
