I sure hope not as I'm not a fan of that pedal at all
The couple of demos on the pedal don't sound like a DG to me.
Yeah I was looking at that joyo pedal looks interesting with those mid and gain boost switch hope to hear how it performs.
Im currently looking at the Monomyth and the Double Thruster.
Was the Monomyth close to the DG? I can only find the one JOYO video of it on the interwebs.
Also curious to hear about the Double Thruster and how close to the B3K it is.
I already own the Atmosphere and its great - very ambient, i dont lose any low end, love me a blend/mix knob.

There is nothing out there other than short Joyo videos on the three new pedals. I wish I could have made a short video, but I'm not good at that kind of thing. The Monomyth can easily do the DG thing. You can dial in other clean stuff that is decent, but any kind of drive it has is more DG based. It is versatile though, you can dial up a lot of different tones. From my experience with DG, which is playing on one of their amps and a B3K, this is a little different and I think can get a little better bottom end. Not a lot of noise from the pedal even at high gain. The mid and gain boost switches are nice and add extra versatility and tone. I enjoyed the mid switch the most. They are good pedals for the price, it's is just if you can find the tone you like in it. Longevity of the product, who knows.
I didn't try the Double Thruster because I am trying to cut back on dirt, not looking for it.

I wish they made an SVT-style pedal. That is the only thing I would buy right now that could move me away from my American.
Mosky has issued copies of the Joyo character (or Tech21 character) pedals now.
Might be a cheap way of trying different flavours as they've priced them in the budget range.

Just dipping my toe in this Joyo thread to show my appreciation for this space saving mini tuner that allows for 3 pedals on my limited compact board.
The Double thruster seems to have a good range of tones. The low gain is intriguing. Kind of a modern, crispy low gain drive tone.
Ebay ,Reverb etc. Time to time have vintage ampeg pedals there a Ampeg tube DI box from early 2000s but be prepared to shell out some coin.$$$.
In early 2000s Ampeg manufactured the SVT direct injection DI box ,not a stomp box but a direct input tube preamp, there's one for sale on Reverb for $400 ,a lot of discontinued gear that suddenly have been rediscovered command premium coin.
Master Effects Super 300 is an excellent sounding SVT clone, my choice until @Sushi Box FX updates his SBVT
+1 on the California Sound love the boogie tone for bass, piccolo bass and guitar. I can cover the full range of tones from Bass 400, Strategy as well as classic guitar tones. The Voice and EQ interaction is magical.
Sold my Rat to a friend recently and have been looking for a new OD pedal. Just ordered the Double Thruster.
Ordred a Double Thruster yesterday as well. Been obsessed with OD lately so for $60, why not?

The lag when turning it on is unusable for me. I am really not a fan of soft touch switches due to the lag but it always seems to be worse on cheaper pedals. Also, there were a few times i had to hit the switch a few times to get the pedals to turn on.
Sound wise, the pedal was pretty descent. It's be a long time since I've played a B3K but i didn't hate the tone of this pedal like i remember hating the tone of the DG. This sounds less scooped and tinny to me.

I received my Double Thruster and I really like it. I've never tried a B3K but I do have a vintage microtubes and the knobs work the same way as a DG pedal so I assume the B3K is what they're going for.
