Schaller Strap Locks Fail - WARNING

Just think, if the original design Schaller strap locks had only included an additional nut to lock down the first nut, there would be no issues with it loosening. So why the redesign with the knobs being one piece rather than a knob and screw, which worked fine? Over-engineering at its finest...

    USA Cirrus 5 strings

For those of you looking to tryout LaBella Strings “SuperSteps” XL for their Cirrus 5, I was able to get LaBella to add the XL string option in the Super Steps, which have an exposed core ball-end design and measure 38”. It was odd that there was no selection in the drop-down selection menu on...

The Official U.S. Peavey Cirrus Club

With the relaunch of Cirrus basses by Peavey now being produced in Czech Repub should make all the USA made Cirrus basses all skyrocket in value! Its very sad that Peavey has chosen not to have a USA produced handcrafted work of art going forward. And the price jump just reflects the greed level...

Own a Jaco Bass of Doom for the low price of 67 MILLION dollars

I somehow imagine all these Chinese builders making copies to flood the marketplace. Somebody quick go call Elon Musk! He’s got enough pocket change to easily afford it. Far too expensive for my blood! But somehow, I don’t see it measuring up to it’s worth.

Anyone else find a bass without strings sort of....cringe?

To see a stringed instrument without strings, other than between string changes and maintenance, always feels like it is just incomplete and if the guitar or bass has any animated feelings, it would feel sad. How can it be properly loved with a decent set of strings?

Why do Carvin bass amps get such a bad rap ?

Yeah they may weigh a ton, but I do love the amount of recovery those huge back-breaking power supplies can deliver on sustained bass peaks! They are Monstrous!!!

Why do Carvin bass amps get such a bad rap ?

I have a pro bass II 300 that I picked up second hand a couple decades ago and it is still going strong when I got my BX1600 and full stacks. My BX1600 and 2x BRX410 cabs and BRX18 are all still holding up just fine and I am not worried if it ever does go down because I can fix it myself if it...

I really do agree with you, Bill! She certainly is. But I also find myself in quite the candy store treasure trove of dreams among all present in this thread. I can’t help but to be in such awe of beauty, art, and craftsmanship that it took to bring us all these presents of joy. Let us treasure...

The Official U.S. Peavey Cirrus Club

I gotta say, this thread is full of gold and it looks as if I am joining the club as I just purchased a beautiful tiger eye quilted USA Cirrus 5 from Reverb. It was indeed pricier than I would have like to have spent, but here we are. Can’t wait for it to actually be in my hands. Many years I...
