george, the grain on yours looks so much like the grain on mine i have a feeling they were cut from the same tree!. clearly these '76 are brothers. except you'rs is blonde with white and mine is walnut with black. in a movie, yours would probably be the hero and mine would play the bad guy :D

just want to recommend one thing. the buzz might be your string rattling inside the winding post. if you stuff a cotton ball in there does it stop?

rehearse your songs at home in a dark bedroom. in your first gig, time seems to blur by and tunnel vision happens alot if you're nervious. if you can play your songs in pitch black then you're comfortable with the material. :D

excellent work with this. and i LOVE these threads. I'm going to do this on my own someday. now, just to find a basement or a garage for this project... do you have any clips or soundbites of you playing this bass?

i just swapped out the stereo jack for a mono jack and it works just fine. i guess i was just using the stereo jack wrong.
