Markbass Nano 300 - The first review (?)

I have one. Sounds the best as an amp for jazz guitar with my Markbass Blackline 15 cabinet. Very clean and deep. Can't find a sound I like with a bass.

    Guitar through bass amp?

I have a Markbass Nano and a Markbass Blackline 15 cabinet and guitar sounds great through them. Markbass have a guitar amp brand called DV Mark, and they have a Jazz combo amp, and I wouldn't be surprised if that has a bass speaker in it.

    Guitar through bass amp?

I play guitar through a Fender Rumble 100 combo amp. Sounds great for jazz/blues.

Fat Vintage Tube Tone in a pedal

They still make that one. That's the 9 volt version most recent with 130 volts to the tube. Very expensive though. I have two older 12 volt versions with something like 200+ volts to the tube, one second hand from Japan and the other second hand from here in Australia. Invalid Link Removed

    upright simulation pedal?

Flatwounds or tapewounds. Pluck with one finger over or near the fretboard and an octave pedal set one octave down according to a man on YouTube. He says to use a Boss Octave OC-2 which are difficult to get so a MXR M280 Vintage Bass Octave pedal is very similar.

What is the highest output single coil P bass pickup?

Really? I thought they used the magnet as a pole piece and then place another bar magnet at the base of it? I don't like them anyway. Too loud for me.

    EMG PVA5 HZ & PVA2 HZ (&P HZ)

I now have the PVA2 on my Fender Player P bass. I sounds great. Has a low mid emphasis. Very good with flatwounds. I have LaBella 104 set on. Very much like a ceramic steel active p but with lower volume. I have a MXR M81 pedal with it to make it louder and also to make it sound active. The...

    EMG PVA5 HZ & PVA2 HZ (&P HZ)

I'm getting one of each for two p basses that are noisy. Taking a punt. Apparently the PAV5 is mostly like the Geezer Butler but a little more standard with no mid grind. I'll take my chances on the output volume of these but there's always my MXR M81 pedal to give them a boost.

    ALNICO VS. CERAMIC?

Everyone has forgotten about Ceramic magnets with Steel pole pieces. Sound great to me. EMG JCS, PCS, 35P4CS and 35CS. I guess its a higher output version of Alinco 2.

    Fender Rumble 800??

I have a Fender Rumble 800 head on layby. With next to no reviews on the internet or Youtube I was talked into it because there are no 500s held by Fender in Australia. I only have Fender Rumble V3 15 cabinets so I will be going easy with volume.

Has anyone seen/tried these j pups? Thoughts?

I bought the F2 and it sounds great. Very even sound with LaBella 760FL strings. Not too bright. Some thump. Sounds sort of like an EMG PAX pickup. Much better than the fender stock pickup, much more headroom and far more coils of copper.
