Long form review: Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B M+

Thanks for the review @sloppy_phil. I’m new to iem’s and have been considering one of these to use with a Bergantino IR to feed FOH and my iem feed. I’ll still be using an amp and cab for live gigs and your approach to connect from the amp DI to the Cab M is exactly how I was thinking of doing...

How many live gigs did you play in 2022?

32 gigs played this year for my band. That's after losing two gigs due to illness within the band (our singer had Covid) plus another four gigs lost due to venues closing. We normally aim for around 35-40 gigs per year. I expect next year we will lose more booked gigs due to venues closing...

Markbass - HPF or not? MB don't seem to know!

You can order direct from Broughton and they will ship to the UK. I bought a HPF & LPF pedal direct from them a couple of years ago. I would highly recommend it and only sold mine after buying a Bergantino B|Amp which has adjustable HPF and LPF built in.

    EBMM StingRay Special Club

Could anyone with a roasted maple fretboard tell me whether the fretboard discolours and/or gets dirty due to normal use please? I have two charcoal sparkle Specials (4H and 4HH) with ebony fretboards and I am considering whether to trade the HH for a H with roasted maple fretboard if the...

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

I found that setting the EQ points on my B|Amp to match those on the Forte HP was a good starting point for me. Don’t use excessive boost or cut. I found that a boost at 100Hz, similar to the Punch button on the HP, to work well. The High Pass Filter (HPF) is very useful, especially in a...

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

I'm very happy with the compressor and drive options on my B|Amp and have no wish to change anything but this is absolutely brilliant to hear and just another example of why the Bergantino brand has such respect. Well done and thanks Jim!

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

I still love my AE410 and have no desire to sell it, even though I've recently purchased a NXT212. Even if possible to replace the speakers with NXT speakers, and the cost was not prohibitive, it's not something I would consider as it's still a great cab. If I do eventually decide to sell the...

Why wait until after lockdown when you can have the perfect lockdown rig now?

I'm awaiting delivery of a NXT 212 (hopefully next week) and it would be great if the new drives and NXT speaker profiles are also available soon.:hyper:

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

It’s very easy on the B|Amp. It requires a couple of button presses before dialling in the new frequency but the display is very clear. I found it easier to use than my Broughton HPF/LPF pedal as the colour scheme on the pedal made the text/frequencies hard to read under lights.

How many basses do you ACTUALLY use?

I only own three basses at the moment and currently use two of these in my rock covers band, a Stingray Special and a Stingray Classic. My Status S2 Classic (see avatar) was my main gigging bass for 10 years, up until about 6 months ago when I got my Stingray Special. The Status is a great...
