Basically I'm thinking of upgrading my amp but I can't afford to buy a massive stack yet. Would there b any benefit in buying an orange head & using it with my Line 6 350w amp? I can get the head second hand at good price but I've never used one and don't know the benefit... Any help appreciated.

I play a fender jazz in a rock cover band and I use a me50b effects pedal. I have a line 6 amp but I DI the bass so it doesn't make much difference to the front of house sound. We use an Allen &heath desk etc. I'm finding it hard to find the sound I want. I want the sound that kinda punches...

I found an ad for a 5 string OLP EB stingray bass for a really good price, but I'm not sure whether its actually that good. I've never played one of these but I know the reputation for EB is class. I was wondering could anyone give me any insight into whether its worthwhile??

Yeah perhaps more low end I would consider. I'm thinking of buying a p bass and using that for the more low end tone songs and keeping the jazz for the more crisp songs. If I get another bass I might try changing the pick up if it isn't what I'm looking for!
