Headphones for bass practice, no budget restriction

I just recently upgraded to the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 ohm. These sound amazing with deep natural bass response and won't break the bank! Tried AKG 240 first, but was not impressed. The bass was very weak; was going to send them back but gave them to my wife instead.

    Best headphones for bass practice

Thought I would chime in with my 2cents worth and keep this thread going. I just upgraded my headphones from an older pair of JVC XX to Beyerdynamic DT770 in 80 ohm. I tried the AKG K240 first, and even though they were very clean and clear, the bass was very weak. Don’t know if it is because...

Warwick Corvette $$ review... Never again.

I've got to agree with many of these replies. You cannot compare a B stock Chinese Rockbass with a German Warwick. I tried a couple Rockbass's several years ago at a GC in Cleveland, thought they were an overweight, overpriced piece of crap. (I know that sounds harsh, but they really were.)...

    Basswood?

The Aerodyne Jazz has a thinner, sleeker body than most basses...I wonder if that was the cause. I'll have to pay attention to that the next time I'm checking something out in a music store.

Disenchanted with Acoustic 410/hopeless search for an upgrade cab

Of the collage of cabs I've had over the years...8x10's, 6x10's, 4x10's, 2x15's, 1x18...I now have two Ampeg SVT 410HLF cabs. These suckers are by far the best that I've used and heard. Each one has the punch, snap, and low end of a 4x10-1x18 stack in a single cab. One cab is plenty for most...

    Warwick is getting an overhaul!

I am excited about this project of yours and will continue to follow it. I Bought an ’06 Corvette Standard two years ago from a shop near Youngstown, OH…just a couple hours from Columbus. I absolutely love this bass! First thing I did was swap out the MEC preamp with a two band Bart. To me, the...

    Basswood?

I'll throw my 2 cents in on this one. About 10 or so years ago, I bought a Fender Aerodyne bass in excellent used condition. It was love at first feel: light weight, very well balanced and played like butter...and it was sexy. I had to have it. But the one thing I was never happy about it was...

    MDB amp covers

I had purchased a LeCover I had Studio Slips make a padded cover for an Eden 610 cab I used to lug around. They were also very good: high quality and perfect fit.

    MDB amp covers

I just received my cover for my Fender Rumble 100-15 from MDB, and quite frankly I’m glad I ordered it before I read the negative reviews on here. Two good reasons why I ordered from MDB in the first place was price, and also because they were about the only cover maker that listed the Fender...

Who is the most iconic rock bassist to breathe air on Planet Earth?

For me it's a tie with Geddy Lee and John Entwistle, two of my biggest influences. Both are/were amazingly talented in their own right and I can't put one above the other.
