I saw this documentary about a year ago, which was talking about the British invasion of the 60s, and when they started coming over here, they couldn't get over the difference of noise levels with single coils, because in Britain it's 50 cycles, and there is no hum. And don't forget, 60 cycles...

Saw Dave Mason at Duke university, back in 1973, maybe early 74. He was the vocalist and the principle strummer, he brought along a lead player who played the hell out of a strat that night. It was a good show.

Whoops! I went to a 7 band eq "pedal." The onboard stingray 3band (30th anniversary) died. Did not have the funds to ship it off, get it fixed and, have it shipped back. So I traded it in on a passive FSO, added a 7 band EQ pedal in the chain - I became a believer.

I would add a subtle hint of bling like a rounded brass wood screw or a quality brass tack. Fill the hole with a bit of dowel, crown it with the decorative tack.

I went to a 7 band with a boost quite a while ago. I was not expecting the results. From dialing in to avoiding pickup replacement... the benefits are quite noticeable.

It might be PVC I don't know the secret, but I have tried everything from sharpies to actual paint and nothing sticks to that stuff... Not that I've found… but what I did do was take off the pick guard and used some auto wrap and I wrapped the pick guard. That seems to be working, okay.

What material is the pickguard made of?

The closer I get to organ pedal tone the better I like. It's the butter in the bottom of the skillet.
