    I'd soak it in something like PB blaster and let it sit there for a few days and then try to use a screw extractor set. I've had good luck using reverse twist drill bits to remove small screws, but you need to be careful as the bit can break. I'm not sure if PB Blaster would affect the...

    sounds like a cold solder joint to me. I had a similar issue with a bridge pickup in my charvel, so I just desoldered it, cleaned up the wires and resoldered and it solved the problem. Good Luck!
