An hour drive gets me the local Dayton Metro as well as most of the Columbus Metro, a goodly part of the Cincinnati Metro and dozens of small towns in between. I have no need or desire to drive farther than that no matter how much it pays.

Disnay and WB both appealed to kids, but WB often had some things that went over the kids' heads but grown-ups could appreciate.

At some point a bass morphs into a holy relic which people idolize for reasons that do not stand up to objective scrutiny. If it makes them happy, it's no concern to me. I'm never going to buy or sell one.

This is the thing. It's not like they are young guys in a startup and can't afford a decent PA or don't have experience in live sound. They just aren't interested in doing it better. Good luck trying to overcome that inertia.

The marvel of the human auditory system is that it can take the harmonics and make us perceive the fundamental when it isn't physically there. Having a bit of the fundamental present helps, of course.
