We are talking about the same company that took SIX DECADES to fix the Bass Bridge and STILL makes exploding R Tailpieces, right?

Hell, Rickenbacker THEMSELVES only ship these things in the form fit, manufacturer boxes! They don't ship with ANY form of additional protection. They essentially ship them as if shipping just the cases themselves.

Ultimately, it would make no difference to me, the case will live with the others in my crawl space and the bass would go in my Serek gig for actual transport 😅

I mean...it is literally JUST a 330, but four strings. I've also got one but in Walnut. It's an odd bird for sure. Keeping it on the offchance my unborn son takes up bass some day lol

I got one out of curiosity, and it’s just TOO short. It feels like a toy! I love thin necks and short scales are fun, this is just too extreme. Open to selling it potentially 🤣 Otherwise I’ll keep it in case my kid takes up bass lol

It was the 60s! Manufacturers were still discovering all the idiosyncrasies and nuances of these electrified instruments. It makes for a fun, unique sounding instrument however. Like a Hofner on Roids!!!! The blend knob is by far the most unique and useful thing on it though!

A few days in and I’m loving the sounds this produces!!! Those who diss on it just don’t have the patience to work with it and find what works for them. The blend knob itself a revelation!!!

The value of the old ones are typically TWICE the cost of a new one. I much prefer the older ones anyways. It has a thinner nut width and as such is more comfortable to play. It actually has a 4 saddle tailpiece vs the new ones which just use six string saddle tailpieces. I prefer the way they...

I ended up with an R2 Bass VI that I'm now trying to offload..... ORIGINALLY, I commission a doubleneck with a 12 String Guitar above a 4 string bass. After 18 months without them STARTING it, I realized it was never going to be made, so instead of losing my $3,000 deposit, I changed my commission.
