What's Your Bass/Guitar's Name?

All right, spill: there's GOTTA be a story behind Heisenberg!

No biggie, I like Breaking Bad and the bass is white. It seemed a natural to call it Mr. White and by extension Wlater and Heisenberg

Also, I'm a retired electronic engineer and studied the work of Werner Heisenberg in a couple of classes in college. I think I even wrote a paper about him but it was over 40 years ago so the memory is vague.

Anyone name their bass/guitar?

I have an acoustic guitar named Tamara 2, and electric named Tamara 3, and my bass is Tamara 4. Tamara 1 being my g/f who I love enough to name all my guitars after.

Here's my usual answer to this question; My basses/guitars don't have names. IMO, they're like cats. They don't come when you call them, so... why give them names? However... here's another reason;
I have 23 basses, and 4 guitars. I'm so bad with names, that I've spent my entire working life wearing shirts with my name on them - otherwise I'll forget the stupid thing. And you expect me to remember 27 instrument names?!? Sorry; that ain't gonna happen,... what's your name again?

My latest purchase is a SX Telecaster 6 stringer. I call it Mañana - as in I’ll learn to play this sucker Mañana.
Also because it reminded me of the Tele in the ‘back in the USSR’ scene of the movie Yesterday.

Don’t name my basses, kinda ???! Fender, sterling, Ltd work pretty good for me. I have a friend who names his guitars these stupid names. He has too much time in his hands.

Yeah, no. Never named my motorcycles, cars or musical instruments including basses. Never had a reason to name or not name them. Never thought about it until now ... All I can think of is that I wouldn't feel good about 'using' Melanie, Hope, Gretchen or whatever. Much less abusing them. I know, that's very dark but that's all I can come up with.
