New Rickenbacker short scale

I'm intrigued as to how low the tension will be with the 24.75" scale!

I'm disappointed that they sold out before I could work out a way to snag one from here in Oz. The FG ones were gone in the blink of an eye!

I got one out of curiosity, and it’s just TOO short. It feels like a toy! I love thin necks and short scales are fun, this is just too extreme. Open to selling it potentially Otherwise I’ll keep it in case my kid takes up bass lol

@GodsLove66 - That's a GORGEOUS set of basses there!

I bought a used '71 Fender Mustang Bass in 1988 knowing at least one of my future kids would be a bassist (new, affordable short scale basses were basically nonexistent at the time.) My son was born in '89 and started playing when he was 11 - he's 37 now and is a far better bassist than I'll ever be. I know the 3030 is a different beastie, but it may serve a greater purpose in the future.

And yes, that Mustang is still in the family collection.
