New Rickenbacker short scale

Fantastic, so I won’t need new strings for it… everEveryone - I've confirmed that the 3030 basses are strung with a set of standard short-scale La Bella Low Tension Flats, 42-100:

Even though the scale length of the bass is 24.75", the R-tailpiece requires a longer string - this is why standard short-scale strings work just fine on these basses.

On my little Gibson Les Paul Jr I use Labella Bettle Bass strings. They are of a similar gauge, but even a little lighter.
Looking forward to see how these sound instead.

I'm intrigued as to how low the tension will be with the 24.75" scale!Nice that it comes with flats on it from the factory.
I'm disappointed that they sold out before I could work out a way to snag one from here in Oz. The FG ones were gone in the blink of an eye!
just wait you can get one on the verb i'm sure for 5k+ just in a few days

In all seriousness, the 4005XC's & 4005V's all should have been strung with flats before they left the factory as well, IMO. I'm glad to see these little babies were done right.

They printed the shipping label right away, but 48 hours later and ups still hasn't picked up the box. The waiting is the hardest part....
Mine is already on the way, but has to go across the country to get to me next week!
Usually my custom basses I order take at least a year or two… so this isn’t as bad for me.
Still though, I’ll be waiting patiently.

One time on a $20k + order that like to give me a heart attack.

My first rick was also a 4005. Sometimes I miss it. Especially that neck pickup.
Email sent. "The box was picked up on the 23rd. It will show up when it arrives at the next sorting facility. It should arrive by the 29th." OK. I waited this long for something I didn't know I wanted, I guess I wan wait longer. It's not the first bass I've waited for.I would, it might help you put your mind to rest.

This mellow recording with the 4005WB was the neck toaster solo'd. Except for the acoustic guitar I created and played all the other parts.
