question for the carvin DCM1540L owners

I think it should work fine. Don't go below 4 ohm loads on either side, and you should be OK.

    Your light rig

Don't really know a lot about the newer LED stuff.Seems cool.My last bigger band leased a dude, and his light show for a set amount per weekend. He ended up with a huge show as well. Was easier paying out the cash to him than it was messing with it ourselves.Once again though,as the production...

Source for Inexpensive Speaker Cabs (Empty)?

Try "strictly hookups".He makes some good looking boxes, that seem really well built.

    Your light rig

We set up a 60 par 56 (300 watt bulbs),and 24 "rain lights".We had several 1000 watt per channel dimmers,so 3 cans per channel. It was a nightmare(but we were to young to realize it).It did make a major difference in the way we were recieved by the audience. We put 4 cans per bar,and would run...

    Gallien 800RB question

One of the outputs on the GK 800RB is only fiftey watts. It is intended to push hi-end frequencies in a bi-amped situation. The 800 RB has a crossover so depending on where you set it,everything above goes to the "hi-out",and everything below goes to the "lo-out".I used to love mine, and it is the...

How do you transport your sound rig?

I found an 89 Dodge work van for $600.00.Took the shelves out (which are really nice),and I'm not sure if I'll sell the ladder racks off the top(been offered $150.00 for them),or build some type of ramp, and use the racks to store the ramp.I can fit the entire P.A.,my bass rig,and the complete...

    Questions about QSC GX5

I run 2 Yamaha S115Vs off the hi-side,and 2 Peavey 118s off the lo-side for smaller venues with excellent results!I believe the GX-5 puts out 700 watts at 4ohms so it works great, and will get loud enough to do the job! Stays clean as well!

    BiAmp + Mic = How?

As soon as a miced,or DI signal gets to the P.A. it IS bi,or tri(depending on how the P.A.is set up) amped. When you get to the point that you are using decent to good P.A. equipment, your amps basically become stage monitors. I try to get the best sound out of the P.A.,then kick on my amp,and...
