It used to bother me a lot now, I could care less. With me I think it's an age thing. I tend to feel that way about many things that used to bother me. Now, well into my 50's I'm just like ah whatever.

I mostly just like dots and depending on the bass color and fret board blocks are ok. I really dislike blocks on maple boards. But, who cares what others find acceptable you do you.

Looks like the modern Fender Ocean Turquoise Metallic to me. I had a Player P in that color.

I'm a longtime Fender fan, but if they continue down this road I will stand by my scruples and never buy a new Fender again. If I buy new again it will probably be Lakland or Ibanez in that price range.

I voted custom shop(gotta live vicariously) but, the Vintera 2 RW would be my second choice. I have the Charcoal Frost one and I love it. It's become the bass I just automatically pick up when I want to play.

I would of liked the vintage case with mine. The plastic one actually seems a little brittle and I'm betting would crack if it took a good hit. And, the vintage one looks cool. That's odd with the price. I got mine when they first released, and they were the same price.
