I put a set in my Washburn T24, They are much hotter then the G&B single coils that came in the bass, I can attest to the right hand sensitivity. I didn't like the sound but I think that had more to do with the pickup spacing then the pickups them selves.

Actually you can and I have done it on Jazz bass. It’s a pretty cool cheep mod that gets you in to a pbass like tone.

My advise buy the American Pbass!!! I own a 72' it sounds great but the new ones and I know I will get a tone of flack for this. The new ones are made better!! I am currently drooling over the American nitro finish basses Guitar Center is selling or I may get a g&l lb 100.
