    It's been a long time since I was in on a discussion like this, but I remember Monahan was certain the George Heinl bass was the oldest Canadian bass. It's currently owned by Pat McPhail in Toronto. Not sure of the year, but 1950's would be a good guess.

    Double Bass Cars for bass (DB forum thread)

    Years ago I had a '72 Volkswagon Camper Van. Gas milage, safety & reliability were all a joke, but I loved it! Best part was, with the roof popped up, I could use the sink as a stool and PRACTICE in the van! Those were the days... Greg
