I swear I saw an ad for a very inexpensive medium scale bass but can't remember where. I just want the neck and the basses I saw were only $150 (I think). I have a long term project that would like a complete neck to attach to the body I have been messin with. Help?

Near as I can remember, my first bass was that "Pro" model (K5920) except it would have come from Sears or Spiegel, and I thought I remembered it being an "F hole". I think it was a bit cheaper than the marked $100. It would have been about 1965 or so and I would have been 14. Wish I could find...

What ever you use as a cleaning spray make sure it says SAFE FOR PLASTIC Home Depot has some deoxit type spray too

Need a new pickup for my EB-0. Which has better build quality? Thicker cover and other manufacturing/quality points. Don't care a whole lot about the price difference. I just want quality. I hate spending any amount on something that feels cheap Thanks

I want to add a pickup and it's volume and tone controls. The routed out area will be a little snug so I am considering mini pots. But they seem to be of lower wattage rating than the regular size pots. The minis are 0.1 w. In a passive system will the lower wattage rating be a problem...

I know this is an old thread.... I got interested in this problem and did some cad work and came up with this solution..... I use 100-80-65-45 strings 1.5" nut Distance between strings 0.3186" Distance from edges of E and G strings to sides 0.1271" String centers from bass side...

Seems the market is tending away from chrome pickups and leaning towards stealthy black ones. Can anyone suggest a chrome (not plastic) 4 string bridge pickup? It is for an EB. I have seen the Gibson EB knock offs and looked into a Rio Grande Pitbull (which I can't really find anywhere).

I'd like to find a gaxb150 to pull the neck off of. Anybody know of one for sale? I'd like to be a member of the medium scale club when I get my EB-X done

I just picked up an Epiphone EB-0 and plan to make a Franken-EB or EB-X. It has a couple small fixable bangs, but is all there and it was really really cheap. It would have been pretty slick to have had a Gibsonish looking neck.

Nothing and they are close. Just hoping to find something with a head that is a little different than what they offer, which is the Fenderish look. Probably have to go with that. Not having much luck
