WHAT BASS DO YOU WISH YOU HAD BACK?

My 1979 Rickenbacker 4001. Had it since 1980 and had to sell it in 2014 for financial reasons. Would love to have that one back but I take sollice in knowing someone else out there is getting to enjoy it as much as I did for almost 35 years.

Rickenbacker(ish) sound on Fender Jazz or P?

No, you can't. The primary tone of a Rick comes from the stereo connection. There are Rick's that dont sound like Rick's. That tone is from using the Rick "O" sound jack on the guitar which is a stereo connection. Not all Rick's have stereo either.

Why do the session legends all use P basses? (SBL Video Discussion)

Considering most engineers tend to make the bass disappear in the mix makes you wonder why they care in the first place. Engineers dont even like bass players . If you want your sound or tone or what ever you want to call it sound just like every other guy then go ahead. Play your P bass or let...

CITES - What every bass player should know

The entire subject is absurd. If the intent was to protect a species, any species then there should have been a concrete date which states that any instrument produced after such and such date may not contain the following. Period. To expect anyone or any manufacturer to be able to certify that...

    Mesa 2X15 Cabs

I see Mesa Boogie has finally come out with a new 2 x 15 cab for the Subway line. I had mentioned it on a forum a year or two ago and a guy from Mesa actually responded and said he too would love too see them come out with a new 2x15 cab. So now even the guys who want smaller portable bass...

What is the best speaker combination for using richosound?

Im of the older school of thought and 15 inch speakers are bass speakers. Tens are not . Counter to much of the thinking of today. Tens came out from Ampeg because they just couldnt get their SVT to sound right with 215 inch speakers. Far too sloppy, so they convinced everyone they where moving...

    The Acoustic Club

I really believe GC should have released a 2x15 cab for the Acoustic line. That speaker combination was a staple for ACC and came in a few configurations over the years. Everyone is just affraid to build 2x15 cabs anymore. i wont use anything less than at least one with a 2x10 on top of it for a...

    The Acoustic Club

You really need to get the 408 cab that was designed for the 320 to get the full potential from that amp. I assure you , you will not regret it.

I have a 320 with the 408 cabinet. 300 watts into those 4, 15 inch eminence speakers is thunder sent down by god himself. i also have a newer 260 from GC and actually have 2 of the cabs for that. i also just picked up a really nice GC Acoustic B300H. Going to run that into a 406 2x15 cab Im...

Learning to play bass not going well at all. Need Advice.

You may want to consider one of the Ibanez MS basses as a temporary alternative until you get some strength in your left hand. They are a shortened scale bass. smaller than a short scale at only 28 inches I think. Much easier to play for learning and rehabbing and actually sound pretty good for...

Listing of (mono) heads that will do 2 ohms

The original Acoustic amp company model 320 is designed from the get go to run at 2 ohms. The model 408 cabinet was a 4 15 cab that was matched to it. I own both since 1981. There is no other amp/cabinet ever built IMO that can come close to the sound and power of this combination.

Hellow guys. i have owned and played an Acoustic model 320/408 set up since 1981. I do not believe there is a better bass amp, cabinet set upon this planet nor will there ever be. :bassist:
