I own a Harley Benton club

Ive had a few days to play around with the MP4MN. What is standing out is the P pickup tone. Ive owned and played so many basses in my life time and this has to be the best P bass pickup I've heard. Ive used lots of various EMG's/EMG-X's(J, MM, Reverse P), Seymour Duncan Basslines(MM, Soapbar)...

I own a Harley Benton club

Its making me rethink a lot of my previous bass purchases. I wouldn't Not sure, haven't taken the pickguard off to see whats going on.

I own a Harley Benton club

Found a used MP4MN yesterday for $200. The fret wear was basically nothing. Im a bit shocked with how good this bass is. The Swamp Ash isn't too heavy, no neck dive, fret work was.....very good (better than some fret level jobs I've had). I see why everyone liked that P pickup. The MM isn't bad...

    GC is slipping.

I bought a Squire strat from a dude in the GC parking lot, $75 bucks, took it in and walked out with a $399 Mitchell HD400 (Floyd Rose Ibanez clone) that was on clearance with a life time warranty. Great guitar actually. I laugh about it all the time. Smart people buy their stuff when its under...

    Why's TC so cheap?

Had their 2 10 combo go out on me a couple months after purchase but still under warranty only to find I had to pay shipping to have it looked at and found some horror stories about some others who had the same issue and got their amp back untouched and money wasted. I won't buy another of their...

    NBD! Suuuuuuuper cheap.

Well, a couple things stand out on that bass. First, unlike most of these, the grain on the body is good(considering its multiple pieces of wood). My Squire has a fricken eye ball (looks like it) in the grain about the size of silver dollar. Second, these take mods so easily. Hipshots kickass...

    Stingray-most versatile bass ever made?

Should be worded "most versatile single pickup bass ever".

    Worst Neckdive You've Experienced

Warwick Thumb BO 5 string. Hell, pretty much any Warwick I have ever demo'ed.

    Squier Owners Club

Squire J. The neck (fretted) is from a Deluxe Active and the body is from a Modified fretless VM. EMG X series pickups. The Ebonol fingerboard and EMG's seem to give it a natural compression effect on the sound. Neck is super stable and started life with pressure wounds (high tension) and was...

Does anyone know why Sweetwater does not stock Warwick Basses?

High amount of returns and poor sales. A lot of Warwicks suffer from heavy weight and neck dive so they were getting too many returns. Thats at least the case years ago with GuitarCenter who use to carry in house versions of Warwicks (made for GC). Those basses just sat there forever. I know the...

RESOLVED New Bass Build has no Lows

Yeah, mixing pickups means one of the pickups may need its wires reversed to be back in phase. A pickup out of phase is distinct in that is sounds thin, almost in a disturbing way.

    Those Ibanez Promethean amps?

Picked up the 15 inch 300 watt combo and so far its a very good lightweight class D type combo. There isn't much info on these amps so I'm curious how others who have owned them feel about them.

    NBD: LTD SURVEYOR 5

The Surveyor is a hidden gem. I picked up one cheap and had some fret leveling and crowning done and its insanely playable. The EMG's are versatile and make the cheap prices I find some of these surveyors priced at seem crazy. People seem to think LTD can only do Metal/Rock basses but these are...
