Is there a single rock band do you consider as the "most influential ever"?

If I were to write a book on pop (as in non-classical, non-jazz) music since 1900, there would be three big sections: "Before The Beatles", "The Beatles" and "After The Beatles". The last one would be split in "Before Pink Floyd", "Before Nirvana" and "The Rest"

    I'm gonna buy a new bass..infos please

I don't know if basses in Greece are usually more expensive than elsewhere, but if it's 361$ in US dollars, that is a lot more than you should be paying for the lowest-end Squiers (the Affinity line is Squier's cheapest; still they're very much usable). In a pack, they're usually 200$ and alone...

Upstaged by a Patrick Swayze movie

You could have possibly upstaged Swayze by yelling: "Nobody puts *name of your band* in a corner!"

What the Craigslist ad MEANT to say...

Yeah, like you go to the audition and it turns out that the guitarist is prince of Nigeria and needs you to send him money to buy a PA through Western Union.

    MIM vs MIA Jazz

I think the answer is pretty easy in this case. Since you can't really go to a store and test to find the best ones, buy used from someone who knows what they're doing (for instance, the someone on the classifieds here). That'll fit in your budget, and you're likely to get a very good bass...

Not really, I'd rather trade, but I wouldn't refuse a very good offer either. PM'ed Nice; I would have thought it would require a special pickup. I guess anyone interested in that would be very well served in hunting down one of those 13-pin models! --- As for my bass, I'm leaving her here...

Nice; but... I'm not sure about what it even does. It turns the bass into a MÌDI controller?

You're right about the quilted finish; mine's quilted as well. Edited the post. And here's the pictures. Sorry for the uneven quality, I'm no photographer and my roommate's camera was a bit overwhelming for me to use! [Invalid or Expired Link Removed][Invalid or Expired Link...

Unfortunately, no... No USB on it either. They list those features as available on their page, but I wonder if they ever sold even one with them. A stock one is already a rare sight! Apparently they've had more success with their guitars.

She's a great bass, but I'm sad to admit she's not doing it for me. She's probably as high-end as Korean instruments come; 1495$ MRSP. Not exactly a very common bass, so here's the lowdown... - Korean made. I don't know when it was made, but my guess would be early 2000's. - Active electronics...

What's the best bass on the market?

It all depends on the pickup covers!

    Why is SX so cheap?

Errr, wrong thread? But ABG usually stands for acoustic bass guitar.
