    Educate me on bi-amping

Wow. Thanks Yeah, that's a great feature of the Tyler. My 1st Gen rig was just using a Rolls SX21 crossover, and I quickly became aware of the lack of control over your set points for the low and high signals, due to the fact it just has a traditional crossover set point for both channels...

    Educate me on bi-amping

I did consider the Tyler at one point. However, I don’t have a need for blending the 2 channels back together because I like my 2-amp rig. I DO use the Broughton HPF as pictured. It is a lovely piece of gear. I wish he also made an “always on” LPF...

    Educate me on bi-amping

I didn’t know DSP crossovers had asynchronous functions. What DSP product are you referring to? Most hardware crossovers I’ve seen only allow for synchronous crossover settings. I’ve used a DBX 223 stereo crossover (2 channels) to achieve asynchronous settings on my pedal board, but I don’t...

    Educate me on bi-amping

I appreciate the desire to clarify terms, although sometimes bi-amping and parallel mono start blending into each other. In my rig, I use dual output guitars. I do send high and low frequencies to their respective amps, however I don’t use a crossover. I use a HPF and a LPF. This way, I can have...

    Educate me on bi-amping

Yeah, I feel like it depends on the goal. If bi amping is just used to achieve a better frequency response by sending highs and lows to their corresponding speakers, that’s one thing. Arguably, full range setups can do this nearly as well. However, if you’re looking for tonal separation, bi...

    Educate me on bi-amping

I’ll upload pics of my setup soon, but I should also mention I have kill switches for each channel, so I can just run deep bass, then slam in the fuzz thru the Twin. Having control over each amp rig is a lot of fun.

    Educate me on bi-amping

After a lot of experimentation, I wired a few Bass VIs and other 27”-30” scale guitars to be dual output. I swapped in TRS jacks to do this. The neck pickup is the “bass” pickup (wired to the ring) and the bridge and middle pups are switchable and wired to the tip. The “tip” signal is the...

For Trade Dubterranea for Nimbus SE

Hi! Looking to trade my mint Iron Ether Dubterranea for a Nimbus SE. I bought it preorder and have only used a couple times in my studio. It’s a cool pedal and a very desirable one, but I’m willing to do a straight trade for a Nimbus SE, which would serve more purpose on my board right now...

SOLD FENDER JAGUAR BASS GUITAR. SUNBURST 2010. MIJ. GREAT CONDITION

Nice guitar. I don’t think the Jaguar bass has the same body as the bass VI though. I believe the VI body is unique. A little curvier and longer. It does, however, share the same volume and tone knob config and similar pickup switch hardware.

    Pedalboards for Bass VI

I figured this out last night. The only way to split a guitar signal without using a buffer on one channel. My EQD Hoof Reaper doesn’t like a buffer, so I hooked up a DI into a eventide mixLink to boost the DI signal back to instrument level for the 2nd channel. Voila, 2 guitar signals without...

    Pedalboards for Bass VI

I’m definitely one of those guys. Here’s my collection of bass vi and baritones. Happy to talk about pedal boards. I have a bass chain and a guitar chain. Took a lot of experimenting.

Which EQD fuzz/OD for heavy/sludgy baritone with articulate high end?

Hey! Nice to hear of someone else bi or tri amping a baritone rig. I’m doing something pretty similar right now with a rack crossover. Everything above 80hz is going to a ‘72 Fender Twin and a ‘82 Fender Concert (stereo setup), everything below 1kHz is going to a SWR 350 / Eden 2x10. I have 3...

    Pedalboards for Bass VI

I think I used a set of strings with a 95 for the low E. I have to restring most of my guitars this month and was going to do some experimenting. I’ll post about it. And yes, a fam photo will be coming.
