Cool, and thanks for the answer. actually i got another question. I got a Hughes & Kettner basskick 515 combo with a 15" 8ohms speaker. The voice coil is broken, and i want to replace the speaker. Can I just replace this speaker with another 15" 8ohms speaker, or are there also other specs here...

Okay, I think I'll go looking for a matching speaker then. And just to be sure, there's no problem in mixing a new speaker with the 3 old ones?

So, i got this home-build 410 Cabinet from a friend of mine, and it turns out that one of the units is busted, now i want to replace it and my question is: Do I just find a, new unit, similar in wattage and ohm or does it have to be the exact same model as the other units? Thank you for the answers. we're playing heavy rock, in the style of Black Sabbath and Danzig, so the amp must be able to create a certain sound pressure. The seller lives a 5 hour travel from where i live, so the transportation will cost 1/4 of the amps price and that's why i'm looking for...

Thanks for the answer. I don't think a little crunch will do any harm to the band. But i'll be sad to cut the low end. I'm new to the whole tube thing, if i run the amp hard, does that shorten the tubes lifetime, or will it just create fuzz? Yeah it was a combo, and a pretty lousy one too...
