    Schecter DV-4 or P-Bass fretless??

I have a friend who is moving and trying to get rid of a older Fender P Bass body with a fretless rosewood neck (I forget the brand). He changed the pups to active EMG's (I'm not even sure what model). It sounds wonderful. I have an original Schecter DV-4 bought new in 2009 with a...

    Do you use fEARful?

High priced....? <Maybe but just shop the parts, cut your own wood, use pet screen and check forums and online auctions to get the drivers used (but basically new) for 1/2 price. FWIW, mine rolled out at $465. I think that's CHEAP when compared with the same quality of mass produced stuff.

    Finished my FearFul 15/6 build

Thanks a bunch Will!!!!! Here are the results. All tones were audible from around 35Hz to 8000Hz (I couldn't take the piercing sound). I believe the switch made the most obvious audible difference at around 4Khz. There were three levels of volume depending on the position from lower, to...

Picked up a bag of letters from Michaels for about $4.00.

    Finished my FearFul 15/6 build

After talking to some other 15/6 builders, I think I described my switch function wrong at first. Here is the wiring diagram I followed. I believe the upper position enables the current to go through the 2.5 and the direct shunt going to the Mid +. The middle position removes the parallel...

    Finished my FearFul 15/6 build

Here's my crossover wiring. I don't think it's going to be much of a help as I bundled all the wires together so I don't think you can trace them visually. I do know that I checked the values of the resistors with a meter at the terminal board going to my switch and I checked the switch...

    Finished my FearFul 15/6 build

Yeah I posted my crossover pics on my build thread over at the GB forum. I'll post it here too. As far as the texture being too rough....it's really not to my touch. It does go on really rough but as it dries the "peaks of the mountains" seem to lay down and flatten. Don't get me wrong...it IS...

    Finished my FearFul 15/6 build

Using a GB Shuttle 6.2 and a Schecter Diamond Series Bass Guitar. Sounds REALLY good to my untrained ears. When I got turned onto these Fearful Cabs I searched reviews and I literally couldn't find a negative opinion. I'm sure not going to be the first as I love it. I do feel that it is really...

    Finished my FearFul 15/6 build

Hey guys, just though I'd post some pics of my Fearful 15/6 build. Covered it with RESTORE with added sparkles. The sparkles really pop under lights and these pics don't show them too well. Thanks to TDVT here for his 15" he sold me and thanks to the guys over at GreenBoy forum who took me under...

    Cab covering alternative to Duratex??

I doubt it but if you go in Lowes they have sample pieces of wood that is coated with the stuff so you get a real feel for what it is like. Let me ask, does anyone know what a standard Marshall of Fender amp is covered with? I believe it would be as tough as that with a few coats.

    Cab covering alternative to Duratex??

Hey Guys, I was in Lowes today getting some hardware when I saw a couple finishes that might work for covering speaker cabs. One is by Olympic called "Rescue It" and the other product is by Rustoleum called "Restore". Both seemed to provide a thick permanent waterproof texture that you roll on...

Ok....Another newbie question. 4ohm vs 8ohm driver choice

    Thank you. That's great info.

Ok....Another newbie question. 4ohm vs 8ohm driver choice

Oh no...I was not even thinking about substituting the driver on the fearful 15/6. No way, no how. I'm in no position to play with someone's design, given my ignorance on the subject. But since it was brought up, let's stay with that logic for a second. Forget about the crappy sound, efficiency...

Ok....Another newbie question. 4ohm vs 8ohm driver choice

Yes.....I have searched and read through some old threads so I have gained some insight, but I still believe I have some valid questions that require some more technical clarification :) I posted before that plan on building a 15/6" cab. I currently have a GB Shuttle 6.2. I am now ready to...
