I have a friend who is moving and trying to get rid of a older Fender P Bass body with a fretless rosewood neck (I forget the brand). He changed the pups to active EMG's (I'm not even sure what model). It sounds wonderful.
I have an original Schecter DV-4 bought new in 2009 with a hard-shell case. All original and in like new condition.
I am a beginner bass player. I have played the skinny string guitar for a long time. I love the classic rock (60-70's) sound and will use the bass for that. I have a Fearful 15/6 cab. I know that jazz players use a fretless but what does a fretless neck do to the sound and would it be OK for older rock and blues? I would have to sell my Schecter to pick up the P Bass. Which on is worth more?
I know it's a generic question without a lot of info so thanks
