    Yamaha JP2 with OBP3 = FAIL!

Interesting that the Aggie didn't work out for the JP2.I recently replaced the stock 2 band,9 volt pre out of a Yamaha RBX 375 with an Aguilar 0bp-3, 9 volt and EVERYTHING increased(volume,E.Q.)...its even louder set at flat than the original pre...BUT a few years ago I had an IBANEZ BTB 675 and...

The aguilar OBP-3 install was completed today, and the results are amazing!!...I am so glad I chose to make the switch. There was a 2 band(Yamaha) preamp in the bass. There was room for the prewired Aguilar kit in the control cavity.I kept the bass wired at 9 volts and even with the E.Q. set at...

    Wedge Monitor

I totally agree with tbirdsp, and not to be mean spirited about it but I would say its not important what the rest of the band does(gear wise) YOU are the bass player, and you have to have a vision for YOUR sound as that bass player! You never wanna be louder than anyone else in the band,BUT you...
