If replacing tubes on an Ampeg CL, would you recommend purchasing a set of tubes and replacing them or taking the amp and tubes to a technician and have them do it? Your thoughts?

yes, but the speakers inside it were not 8x10s. They were much larger speakers and there were only a total of 4 of them. Two in each half of the cabinet.

Correction, the size of speakers must have been larger* In the amount of space that the 4x10s of each half of the Ampeg AV, fit two larger speakers. I don't know what size they would have been.

I've seen photos floating around showing a special type of Ampeg cabinet. It's physical build looks just like an Ampeg 8x10, but instead of 8x10s, it looked like 4x15s were installed into it. Is there an official Ampeg product, or some custom job that somebody completed or a model of some...
