Nothing is impossible @sgroh87, but on the lower end chords, there is little doubt that they would end up sounding extremely muddy. TIFWIW, but chords that low would sound bad. I think tuning up would also require some brute force adjustments to the instrument as a whole. I will wait for a...

In terms of basses, I know it's not the best you will ever see, but I haven't played in a band setting for over 10 years. It's an Ibanez sr506, sounds great for $600 and gives me room to grow. I plan on adding a Modulus Q6, Fodera 6, or a Zon 6 in the coming years. I am just now getting back...

Going to agree here. It's a GREAT sounding bass. Feels solid, comfortable neck.

Looks like my baby I had to sell for rent money a few years back. If you EVER get rid of that bass, please let me know somehow, some way.

Stingrays are always my go to. Low mid growl is gorgeous and not easily mistaken.

Sorry to be late to bump, but I have an sr506. Let me say that I LOVE the way this bass plays, but I am having issues with the preamp as well. I just want it to work! My neck pickup will NOT register though, completely muted!
