hey guys, I've looked around for this andwer and haven't found anything. Anyways, I've been wondering if there's a big difference between the bridges found on mim basses and squier affinity basses. I'm trying to keep my squier jazz as stock-looking as possible and don't want to spend a whole lot...

well, i wanted them for when i rewire my jazz bass, and i'd prefer that the knobs were set screw knobs... i might just have to go the brass sleeve route.

if i recall correctly, it's better to use linear pots for volume? so why are they so hard to find? i seriously cant find any solid shaft 250ks, or at least any made by cts. do any of you guys know where to find them?

yeah, that's what i meant. there's still solder on it, so i might have to get rid of it first, right? or do i just heat it back up and stick the wire back into the solder?

can this be done if a lead on a pickup falls off? this won't damage the pickup, will it? sorry if this is a dumb question...

i had actually tried getting it off with an x-acto knife, but it really doesnt wanna come off... i think i'll try again though, haha. i was hoping i could just use the cover, but i might have to get a new one. that price isn't so bad, jworrellness. thanks! if there's still a solution without me...

so i just got a great deal on a squier jazz bass, but i realized i couldnt take off the cover! i was gonna use it for a pickup that i bought. apparently, though, squier epoxies the cover on? any ideas on how to get it off?

oh, okay, thanks! if i put in tuners from a fender standard, how large would i have to make the holes?
