I tend to play pretty high up on the fretboard which I haven't seen a lot of bass players do and people seem to dig it, that and i bring a funky/jazzy tone to punk rock at it just sounds better to me. I do tend to overplay and goof off a bit too much, however. Need to work on that.

Im not sure what was on there originally but I bought Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Bass 50, 70, 85 and 105.

Yes they buzz after every pluck and it just sounds aweful. I play everyday and it annoys me so to hear it buzz like it does. It never use to do that with the original strings so I am thinking I might have restrung it incorrectly.

So, i just picked up new strings for my Squire P-bass. I installed them correctly but since I put them in I hear a metallic scraping sound when I play. I've gone over everything and am having a hard time finding the issue, has anyone else had this issue too?
