Theres a lot of HM2 variants but the Throne Torcher is one of the best for bass. I'd like to add that while there are some Lone Wolf fans in regards to boutique HM2 pedals, that maker has a reputation for making gear with sporadic quality control. I can confirm it with firsthand experience.

Hopefully not too off-topic, how do you like the Pessimiser? Is it comparable to a Boss ODB3? I remember hearing that's how he gets his dirt tone run into his Sunn Beta.

"Sound per second" isnt really a thing, maybe you're speaking about sample rate reduction? Most bitcrush stompboxes are fairly similar to eachother compared to dirt or delay pedals.

He uses multiple basses in passive and active last I checked. It's usually in the description in his demos.

Perhaps a dumb question: Looking to buy the always-on high pass filter. If I have the signal going from my passive p bass pickup straight to the HPF with nothing in-between, should I be concerned at all about 9v headroom?

Interested in grabbing the loop blender for my Fuzzrocious Demon. Got a feedback oscillation mod on it, would it make it a lot harder to use/tune? As I understand, buffered pedals kind of give trouble in front of feedback effects.

Sorry if this doesn't help, but I would like to chime in to say this thread has been SUPER helpful for a project I'm working on with a "fake guitar" double amp rig. Not sure what specific octave effects you plan on using but I was thinking to use the separate signal with a subtle, always-on POG...
