Just kidding with the names. I say "the center that sells guitars" because I think they're a cheesy bunch and don't want to use the actual name, but I buy from them anyway if I have to. Some other people played along with other names so I kept the joke going.

I use Dunlop Flats 45-105 and they're good. The E isn't too floppy but at the short length it does sound a bit flabby.

I've been using the 45-105s for a few weeks now. They seem fine. I might try the 40-100s just for comparison.

On mine, there is a hole in the underside of the saddles that exposes the end of the screw so you can see if it's reached the limit.

I wonder if shorter and thicker strings are also more prone to the kind of non-linearity that makes intonation adjustment necessary. It's been a long time since that physics lecture on ideal strings but I have a dim memory of something like that.
