    NBD Hayman 40 40

I love it. As you can see I own 2 of 53 of the 50/50's with sequential serial numbers. Would love to get a 40/40 to go with them. T Rex also used.

    Where are the British brands?

I recently bought my second Burns made Hayman 5050 and to my surprise found out after I bought it that it was the very next serial number to my first one and made the very next day from my first one based on the date of the serial numbers. But I love these two.

A couple of sequential serial numbered Burns made Hayman 5050's that I use.

Does anyone know how many of these Hayman model 5050's were made?

Yes, I learned to play on the bass on the right about 45 years ago when a Vietnam vet that special ordered it taught me on it and where my hands were somewhat small it was the perfect fit for me as it is a short scale, very thin neck, with zero fret, and the tone and resonation were really...

    Hayman 40/40 bridge specs

Well when my buddy the Vietnam vet taught me how to play when I was 15 years old ( I'm 60 now). He taught me on that exact bass on the right. It passed threw several other of my friends hands and I even owned it once before, but the story was that they just made a few good prototypes then...

    Hayman 40/40 bridge specs

I drove almost to Station Island in Jersey and bought this other 5050 and after researching the serial number data, it turns out that my original one (oñ the right) was number 13 of I believe 53 made on Sept 8th 1974, and the one I just bought was made the very next day and number 14 made on...

Does anyone know how many of these Hayman model 5050's were made?

Amazingly after much research, I discovered that the serial numbers indicate that the one on the right was made one day before the one on the left and s. Numbers are sequential.

You won't believe it, but I drove 600 miles to New Jersey to buy another 5050 just like the one I have. Drove over 8 hrs there but got it for $1000 plus another hundred for an old vintage Westbury amp with 1-15 cab. Just thought I would gloat a minute as what are the odds of an old goat from WV...

    Hayman 40/40 bridge specs

Actually I am embarrassed to admit that although I have played this bass for actually closer to 40 years, it originally belonged to an old Vietnam vet that taught me bass when I was about 14 or 15 and it got passed around until it landed in my guitar players possession and although he only paid...

I have a really rare model 5050 Hayman, less than 50 made that I have had for decades. The best bass I've ever played and easiest as far as it's very thin neck.
