I currently have a peavey 112 cab and am looking to add another 112 and a new amp head. $1,000 is the budget. I mainly play with country rock artist so I’m looking for just a little grit. I also need something that can handle the lower frequencies of a 5 string. What would you all suggest?

This was my first year ever gigging. I played in church for years, but it was all volunteer so I don't really count that as a gig. Anyway ended up with around 35 for the year. I hope to do more this year as I've picked up 5 new bands and multiple contacts for fill ins.

I tried the pressure wounds and wasn’t a huge fan. They sound okay but I didn’t like the way they felt at all. I’m not an Ernie Ball fan myself. I’m considering DRs

I used to use nickel plated blue steels but it’s hard to find them in medium lights these days. Any comparable alternatives to them? Currently on D’Addarios but they just aren’t the same tonely and not even close with longevity. Playing a Sadowsky Metroline PJ5 for modern country / rock.
