So this is my bass amp that was given to me years ago by my uncle when he got a ampeg Wondering if anyone got any info on it It says "Peavy Series 260 C" on the back here's a few crappy pics

Well Geezer used a "Fender Precision Bass", and Cliff used a "Aria Pro II SB-1000" which to my knowledge uses a precision pickup. So if that helps any

and to be honest it's not even that bad, just a w/e buzz does not affect the sound when plugged into the amp.

The buzz sounds like it's coming from the bridge more than anything. And it's only on a open E nothing else.

Tried that still there, the buzz is not noticeable when plugged into my amp. So no clue what it is.

So my Essex bass got here not even a hour ago, sounds great. But has one problem this odd buzz on the open E. Is this just the crappy strings or a problem I should send it back and get another? Or just take it into the local music shop

See I've never like the flat-wound sound on anything but a fretless. I like the twangy sound from fresh normal strings
