sounds like emgs with a pick with maybe a chorus and with a synth effect . I know up to screaming for vengeance he was using a jazz bass . Always was a big fan of his playing very percussive sounding.

I usually run my vr through a 4x10 or yorkville 8x8 never had issues . I had the V4 b run out of head room . I found the VR would just maintain the low end thump no matter the volume where the V4 B would change at louder volumes . In the amps defense my guitar player is using 50/100 watt...

I think maybe different transformers change the character of the amp ? From the clips I heard I tend to favor the strategy . I find the strategy and reeves 225 have similar characters before the voicing switch is engaged . Maybe it's the kt88 power tubes .

I was thinking same thing . In one video some one is adjusting the eq on the strategy . The amp seem to sound very rich @ full . The prodigy sounds good I just remember the strategy video and thinking it was different .
