    Fender quality control 2025

This is my brand new American Percision Ultra II, their QA sucks. You pay around two grand for a bass and you'd expect a lot better than this. I have since repaired this on my own because the sunburst was absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. I didn't want to return it and get a different bass.

New Fender American Percision Ultra II.

THIS! that's the only reason I'm repairing it myself. I looked at it a lot of them, you can look through individual ones on reverb, I went to all three Music Centers from Buffalo to Rochester New York. And ended up ordering this one from a place I'm going to leave unnamed because they had...

New Fender American Percision Ultra II.

Come on Fender, I paid 2 grand for this. 🙄 Your QA sucks. The problem here is I ordered this bass and was hoping for something that looked nice and played nice. Every instrument has its own feel, sound and color. This is a beautiful bass, sounds fantastic and I love the paint job, I don't want...

    Your Gig Rig

I had that bass, swapped the pickups out for some Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounders and she sang.

Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

Well, I've been an Ampeg fanboy for years now and then I picked this up at a yard sale for $200. Drove right to a show afterwards and have been using it exclusively since... 400 RB III

Traynor YBA 3 custom special power tube question.

Yeah, and they were A very stout tube tube too. Unfortunately an NOS Philips is very hard to find and expensive now

Traynor YBA 3 custom special power tube question.

My buddy works there in Niagara Falls, I'll get a hold of him and ask. Probably 6CA7s or EL34s. But, this is more directed towards those that have modified and tube rolled their units, what pros and cons there are. Thanks though Agedhorse, nice to see you still active here :)

Traynor YBA 3 custom special power tube question.

So, I did some required maintenance and some additions to my 1971 YBA-3 (black velvet mods) that will help me check bias grid currents (and a black velvet mod to run the unit at lower power with 2 tubes instead of 4). In checking the bias grid currents on the quartet I see that the original...
